The 5 Factors
Everyone is unique, yet in predictable ways.
If so much of our personality is determined by the day of the week we are born, then why are we all so very different? There are five major factors that make each of us unique:
- Sex
- Age
- Career
- Culture
- Time of Birth
Take a moment to imagine how each of these factors influences your mind, your choices, and your habits. Then you will start to see how these 5 factors are the key differentiators between human beings.
Let’s look at how each factor should be considered when trying to understand a person using Weekday Astrology.
1. Sex & Gender
The physical body we are born into has certain undeniable biological and psychological differences associated with sex and gender which shape our interests, beliefs, and thought processes throughout our lives.
Irrespective of whether a physical man has more masculine or feminine qualities, there will still be certain ways in which they think, feel, and act differently than a biological woman would.
The same principles apply to a woman. When a physical woman is confident, ambitious, and independent – traits socially considered to be masculine – she would tend to express these qualities in different ways than a physical man would.
That’s why the personality of a man born on a certain day is different from that of a woman born on that same day.
Let’s use the example of a Sunday.
Sundays are driven by the idea that they have to “look good”.
However, the definition of looking “good” for a man is likely different than for most women.
This is why a Sunday woman will try to look and act like the concept she has been taught of what a “good woman,” looks like.
While the male Sunday will act in ways he has been taught a “good man” should be.
2. Age
Would a 3-year-old Tuesday be a workaholic? No.
Yet, it’s almost guaranteed that an adult Tuesday pours their entire life into their work, because they are the kind of people who will prioritize work above everything else.
It’s simply their nature.
Yet, our priorities and personalities change a lot as we age. As young children, we are adventurers, dreamers, or shy recluses. Then when we become teenagers, things change. We begin to look for our place in the world, testing limits along the way.
As adults, our younger selves are not much more than foggy dreams as many of us strive to create something – be it a family, a successful career, a level of spiritual fulfillment, or a sense of helping others.
Just as one day, we will want to slow down and take more time to relax and enjoy more simple things at the end of our lives.
Our entire value system changes with age.
For that reason, when trying to understand a person using Weekday Astrology, we must take their age into consideration.
Because, a core personality remains the same, the way in which that manifests changes over the course of their lives.
Let’s use a Sunday example again.
You now know that Sundays desire more than anything to look good. As children, this is characterized by them being obedient, and closely following their parents and their orders.
While as an adult this same drive to “look good” may present itself in different ways. E.g. with them trying to look confident and independent (although they mostly aren’t).
3. Culture
Culture changes everything. Although difficult to see from the inside, cultural stories have significant implications on how people see life as they know it.
Culture is what directs a person’s moral compass and defines how they should live their lives.
To be clear, when discussing culture, we also include any belief systems or religions a person adheres to as part of their culture.
Here’s an example. Sunday’s core characteristic, the desire to look good, presents itself in vastly different ways depending on their culture.
In Italy, being straightforward and honest are considered “good” qualities in a man. Whereas in England, being quiet, polite, and keeping one’s thoughts to oneself is seen as “good.”
This creates a drastic contrast between two Sunday men born in different regions of the world. Although they are each operating from the same shared character trait of “wanting to look good”, they seem outwardly completely different.
4. Career
What you do every day, changes how you think. By the end of your life, chances are that nearly twenty percent of your time will have been spent at work. More, if you include how much time you spent thinking about work even when you weren’t working.
The significant amount of time we spend acquiring particular skillsets and practicing those skillsets literally wires our brains differently. This has huge implications on how we think and live our lives.
Consider you were talking to twins at a party. One of them had grown up to become a fashion designer, whereas the other became an accountant.
Do you think they would have the same mental processes when making decisions in their lives? Of course not. Even though they started off almost physically identical, their adult personalities would vary greatly. However, in the case of twins and Weekday Astrology, their personalities will already be very different according to if they were the first, or the second-born twin.
5. Time
The day you were born isn’t just a box to tick. Your exact time of birth is like pinpointing a position on a color wheel with varying shades.
E.g. there are people who are pure Wednesdays. But, there are also people who are Wednesday mixed with Tuesday or mixed with Thursday depending on what time of the day they were born. And all of this shapes their personality, preferences, and life choices.
In Weekday Astrology the cutoff time is 6 am. Therefore, if you were born after 6 am, you are that day. I.e. If you were born on a Wednesday at 7 am, you would be a Wednesday person.
However, if you were born before 6 am, you are counted as the day before. So, If you were born on that same Wednesday, but at 3 am, you would be a Tuesday personality.
Apart from the 6 am cutoff, there are three main times of birth segments to consider.
They are:
- Pure
- Mixed with the previous day, and
- Mixed with the day after.
“Pure”
12pm-12am
People born between 12pm (midday) and 12 am (midnight) are considered in Weekday Astrology as being the pure version of that day.
This means that their personality will be based solely on the characteristics of the day of the week they were born.
For example, if you were born at 4pm on a Thursday afternoon, your personality would match solely with Thursday’s characteristics.
“Mixed with the day before”
6am-12pm
However, when someone is born in the morning, between 6 am in the morning and 12 pm (lunchtime), they are still characterized as that day in weekday Astrology, but also will display personality traits of a person born on the day prior.
E.g. if you were born on Sunday at 7 am, you are classified as a Sunday person, but you would share certain characteristics of a Saturday person as well.
“Mixed with the day after”
12AM – 6AM
Whereas, if you were born before 6 am (the cutoff time), it means that you will mainly share characteristics with people born on the day prior, while still sharing personality traits with others born on the day you were born.
E.g., if someone was born on Friday morning at 5 am, it means they are a Thursday person in Weekday Astrology, but with certain Friday characteristics as well.
